The U.S. Green Building Council - Northern California Chapter is a diverse group of individuals in a area that is active in and receptive to progressive sustainable building goals. The Chapter has about 1,000 members with branches in Monterey Bay, Sacramento and Silicon Valley and is headquartered in San Francisco.

The mission of the of the U.S. Green Building Council - San Diego Chapter is to work together as a community of leaders in helping to transform the way buildings and communities are designed, built and operated in the region of San Diego.

The U.S. Green Building Council Idaho Chapter is a diverse group of individuals that seeks to promote sustainable building and design in the State of Idaho. The group is made up of architects, engineers, contractors, government officials, product manufacturers, students, and more.

The U.S. Green Building Council – Colorado Chapter promotes green building in the State of Colorado through educational programs and workshops, community outreach, collaboration with other organizations and the promotion of environmentally friendly development practices within the Colorado building community. The Chpater supports the USGBC's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System in order to aide in the transformation of the built environment.

The U.S. Green Building Council's Orange County Chapter is a non-profit organization made up of Building Industry Professionals, Facility Managers and Property Owners in Orange County and surrounding communities whose goal is to help Orange County become more sustainable.

The US Green Building Council Los Angeles Chapter has developed from a small gathering of dedicated building professionals who first met in the spring of 2000. Today, USGBC-LA represents more than 400 individuals from over 100 organizations in the greater Los Angeles area who are committed to making their communities better places to live through sustainable development.

The USGBC of Alabama promotes cost-effective design, construction, and operation of buildings that are healthy places to live and work, environmentally responsible, and profitable. The organization also serves members and their local communities through promotion and implementation of industry standards, design practices and technologies, green building and design policy advocacy, information exchange, and education. The chapter also encourages a widespread acceptance of LEED certified buildings as the state standard.
