Home Depot's Eco Options Officially Launches for Earth Day

Home Depot's Eco OptionsHome Depot has finally formally announced the launch of the Canadian born Eco Options program in their U.S. stores.  We first noticed Eco Options materials in our local Home Depot nearly a month ago and reported on it in our article: Home Depot's Eco Options .  In that article we commented on the irony of picking up an Eco Options pamphlet under the supernatural glow of the hundreds of incandescent bulbs in the Home Depot lighting department and asked our readers to join us in letting Home Depot know they were missing out on a big opportunity to practice what they preach.

2006 Leading Utility Green Power Programs

Green Power Price Premium Gap Narrows   

The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) has released its annual ranking of leading utility green power programs.  Over 600 utilities across the country offer voluntary green power programs that allow their customers to choose to support electricity production from renewable resources such as solar and wind.
