Title: Dome houses
Post by: Windy on November 07, 2007, 03:02:10 PM
There are a couple of dome style houses in our area and I was wondering if these were considered better for the environment than traditional homes?  For instance, does anyone know if they generally use less energy?  These have some solar panels on the outside so I guess in that way they are better.  I also think they probably use more green building materials in building these than the average house.  Any comments would be appreciated!

Dome homes are energy efficient buildings. Except for below-the-earth buildings, dome homes have the least exterior outside area of any design. Thus they loose less heat in the winter and stay cooler in the summer.
