Title: Green Buildings Post by: PlasticTropicalFish on January 13, 2008, 07:46:03 PM One way to have a green building is to make the building small. This saves on heating and cooling costs. I have seen living spaces for two on TV as small as 70 square feet. One way to make living in a small space function is to have more than one function for the space. For example using a laptop at the dining room table rather than having a whole separate desk with a pc. In my family four of us and a dog live in 650 square feet. It is small but we save a lot of money and live simply.
Title: Re: Green Buildings Post by: Anant Kamat on January 15, 2008, 04:13:46 AM Green Buildings are very essential now-a-days. By doing so we can save a lot of living space and prevent cutting of trees. This would indirectly contribute to prevention of soil erosion. By re-using the same space for different purposes, we can effective manage things without much constraints. We can use natural ventilation for cooling purposes and prevent use of electricity to a certain extent. This helps a lot of saving in the electricity bills.
