I would like to know your thoughts on biofuel or biodiesel as a means of sustainable fuel.

It will not be sustainable because the bio (plants, oils) are needed for other parts in life.
The plants are needed as food for animals, so it would be inhumane to use the oils of plants,
for driving, and energy means, instead of using the oils for cooking or other applications.

The world is dying because of lack of food, so that 'bio-energy' is like, look we even use food for driving. The key is solarpower, windenergy, and the energy in the sea (movements) = free energy

Yes, definitely. It is cheap, and easy to get. For once the United States is making an effort for the environment.

Bio fuel in general and ethanol in particular could be  the answer of the environment problems that the world is facing today.

Where I live (in the UK), the company Stagecoach has unveiled a fleet of buses running on biodiesel that has been recycled from used cooking oil.  Indeed the people who live on the bus routes are given containers to put their used oil into, to be taken to a recycling facility.  In return they get a discount on public transport. 

While this may not be a total solution, I think it is quite a nice approach to the problem, after all the used cooking oil would most likely be thrown out anyway.
