We just tried these out. Saves energy by improving flexible duct installations.

Makes good sense - HVAC systems account for 40% - 60% of the energy used in commercial and residential buildngs.

Product is called FlexRight - website - www.FlexRight.net

Its also made from 100% recycled materials.

Just saw FlexRight in ACHR News magazine - it won a Silver award in their Dealer Design contest.

Improving airflow is an easy and inexpensive way to save energy.

Why not make this the standard installation for every commercial and residential flex duct?  Grin

Here's a website if anyone needs it: www.FlexRight.net

FlexRight looks to be a great product to add to commercial and residential energy upgrade programs or weatherization programs.

With the one-size fits all feature, we would always have the right size in our service trucks - easy to retrofit.

We all know, removing kinks and sharp bends from flexible duct is one form of low hanging fruit to save energy in HVAC systems.

I saw this Flexright product displayed at the GreenBuild show in Phoenix a couple of weeks ago. I t was getting a ton of attention because it solves a very common problem economically.

I agree with you Duct Buster, it should be made a standard for commercial and residential flex duct installations. It sure would keep flex duct from getting such a bum wrap.

If you are in the HVAC business, you might check out FlexRight at the upcoming ASHRAE show in
Orlando. Makes a great energy upgrade / weatherization up-sell product.

It will be on display at booth #2019.

Looks like Hart and Cooley has come out with a flexible duct brace durable elbow support.

Their brand is: SMART Flow Elbow

Link to their site: http://www.smartairandenergy.com/flow-elbow.html

Looks like a winner too!
